The new stadium Eden will be opened on 7 May at 19:00. It is the largest multi-functional sporting and social site in the Czech Republic. Slavia Prague will play a friendly match against its first ever English opponent - Oxford University Association Football Club which they faced for the first time on 28 March 1899.

After the ceremony and national anthem the first ever football match will be played. The friedly game played with a shortened time of 2x 35 minutes will be a historic replay of the game from the sunrise of Slavia history. On 28 Martch 1899 Slavia had to pay fourty pounds as a starting bonus to the opponents which beat them 3-0. The match was a great event for Prague visited by marshall prince Lobkowitz and Prague archibishop Schonborn. Slavia met OUAFC three times after this occassion. In 1907 they drew 0-0 and 2-2, in 1936 they won 8-2. The exhibition match will be the fifth one in the history, and OUAFC will become the most traditional opponent of Slavia.

"The match will be a great occassion that all generations of Slavia fans were looking forward to. It will be a great honour for me to be there," Slavia coach Karel Jarolim said. The team will be amended with former famous players of Slavia as Patrik Berger, Pavel Kuka, Jan Suchoparek or Ivo Ulich.

"It is a great news for the club and all its fans," Ivo Ulich, former Slavia player said. He has never lost contact with his club and was among the first ones who bought the VIP box within the new multi-functional site. "Eden is a great place for football, top culture, pleasant relaxing time and good business," the midfieldeer of Dynamo Dresden said.
